Digital transformation in the field: from clipboards to digital lists

Many companies still use paper and the familiar clipboards for maintenance and repair work, as well as for production and logistics processes. This paper documentation presents plant operators with major challenges, as input errors often creep in undetected and, in addition, a considerable amount of searching has to be done in order to carry out research and analyses. It must be possible to transfer data and information securely and without loss. Due to complex exchange processes between the technical and qualitative side to the different software systems, an enormous copying, filing and archiving effort arises, which leads to high costs and an immense expenditure of time.
