Gaining insight into aircraft aeroacoustics through efficient wind tunnel testing

When designing a new aircraft configuration, predicting the aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance early in the program is important. Numerical procedures such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can help to address this challenge. However, wind tunnel testing is necessary to validate these predictions for single aircraft components as well as the overall configuration. Testing the aircraft configuration on a scaled model can bring additional engineering insights long before the aircraft can actually fly.

Wind tunnel tests have one disadvantage though: they are very expensive. For this reason, engineers must capture as much information as possible during each test. This webinar presents the latest technologies that allow to perform aerodynamic and aeroacoustic measurements in wind tunnels in the most efficient way.

Attend this webinar and learn:

  • About the latest technologies available for accurate wind tunnel testing.
  • How to efficiently combine these technologies to gain more insights from the measured data.
  • How to increase the productivity of wind tunnel tests and get more value in a shorter time.
