System Simulations for Heavy Equipment industry Webinar

Increasing heavy equipment product complexity, transformation from conventional towards electrified drivelines and the massive amount of validation and verification cycles drive the need for an integrated simulation workflow to stay competitive.

System simulation plays a crucial role in this workflow as it ensures a holistic view of the integrated machine performance throughout the entire product development process. This starts early in the concept phase when strategic decisions on system architectures and propulsion concepts need to be made to comply with requirements such as machine efficiency and performance. Once the design of a machine converges throughout the development process, the system model can be leveraged to rule out integration issues between hydraulic, electrical and mechanical subsystems. This model-based development process minimizes the risk of costly delays as well as design and integration issues. The system model can also be utilized to perform virtual verification of control strategies, which considerably reduces expensive and resource-intensive machine tests.

In this webinar, we introduce our system simulation solution, Simcenter Amesim, with a focus on the value it brings to heavy equipment development – starting from early concept design to full system integration. A Siemens heavy equipment customer, Epiroc, will also be presenting a case study on how system simulation helped them speed up software verification cycles by deploying Simcenter Amesim models in their HiL (Hardware in the Loop) workflow.

Register for this webinar to discover how Simcenter helps heavy equipment customers gain earlier insights into the real-world performance of their product or process. Accelerate innovation through a unique combination of simulation and test to achieve greater productivity at the individual, team and organizational levels.
