Is your company preparing for a future in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft? Are you among the more than 300 companies that have embarked on eVTOL development?

From first concept through prototyping and developmental test flight, challenges abound! Watch this webinar to see how a model-based approach to E/E systems development turns eVTOL aircraft development challenges into opportunities.

Key trends in eVTOL

Learn how key trends in eVTOL are impacting development in this renaissance of aviation. Watch to explore how the following trends are driving eVTOL companies:

  • Extreme competition in the eVTOL market
  • Electric propulsion increases electrical systems complexity
  • Subcontracting manufacturing adds additional complexity
  • Certification requirements are still maturing

eVTOL design

Learn how to get your eVTOL program airborne faster and more efficiently. This presentation addresses challenges in E/E systems development with a model-based approach to eVTOL development, manufacturing and sustainment.

eVTOLs are not simply electrically powered helicopters. These vehicles are aircraft optimized for electrical propulsion powered by banks of batteries. eVTOLs require new approaches and innovative technologies to achieve flight and fly safely.

eVTOL certification

Taking flight is just the start. Beyond maturing vehicle concepts and engineering design, there are new regulatory standards to meet and flight testing and certifications to complete before the ramp to high-volume production, all while ensuring economics for operation and sustainment are met to make eVTOL commercially viable. In this environment, traditional manual and disconnected approaches are slow, laborious and increasingly risky.

  • With industry everywhere moving to digitalization, a traditional approach to eVTOL development is not sustainable.
  • A model-based approach that delivers the advantages of digitalized business processes is required.
  • Siemens is an industry leader in this area, with solutions in E/E systems development, mechanical design, analysis, simulation, manufacturing and more.
