Global Technical Lead for Battery Smart Manufacturing

Over the last 15 years, Stephan has gained deep knowledge and experience in driving the digital transformation of manufacturing companies in the automotive and battery industry. He thrives to create value through continuous improvement based on OT / IT convergence and Smart Manufacturing concepts.

He started his career at Siemens in a Management Consulting role and since then held various positions in Product Management, Business Development and Technical Sales / Presales in Germany as well as the United States. Currently he is the Global Technical Lead for the Siemens Battery Smart Manufacturing solutions.

Dr. Tal Sholklapper

Co-founder & CEO

Dr. Tal Sholklapper is a co-founder of Voltaiq and serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Before co-founding Voltaiq, Dr. Sholklapper was the lead engineer on a DOE ARPA-E funded project at the CUNY Energy Institute, developing an ultra-low-cost grid-scale battery.

Prior to his work at CUNY, Tal co-founded Point Source Power, a low-cost fuel-cell startup based on technology he developed while at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and UC Berkeley. Dr. Sholklapper has a BS, MS and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley.
