Dr. Christian Schmidt is Director Technology of Siemens Digital Logistics, a subsidiary of the Digital Manufacturing segment in Siemens Digital Industries Software. In this role, he drives the development of SaaS-based supply chain design, planning, optimization and collaboration solutions, helping customers in various industries on their journey to the digital value chain. In a highly motivated team, innovative, data-driven solutions are developed that combine different capabilities of the Siemens portfolio in terms of supply chain management and electrification to enable agile, efficient and sustainable supply chains. Whether optimization models for logistics networks based on a digital twin or scenario analyses for decarbonization using alternative drives – Christian is enthusiastic about cloud applications for logistics and also counts prescriptive analytics in supply chains and manufacturing as well as artificial intelligence among his areas of expertise.

Rui Sequeira is a logistics expert with a background in the automotive sector and extensive experience in supply chain management. Holding a degree in Industrial Management, he has been involved in numerous projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in logistics operations. Currently serving as Portfolio Development Executive, his primary focus is on designing solutions and supporting companies in the development of digital logistics solutions in the EMEA region and reinforcing to synchronization between logistics and manufacturing operations.
