The growing complexity of manufacturing workcells together with increased demand for flexibility and product variations make today’s robotics workcells indeterministic. Regulations and company standards must be accounted for to avoid safety hazards to personnel and equipment. Robot controllers can react to safety breaches, LiDars can be tuned to capture motion around them, and PLC logic is used to turn information from sensors into signals controlling robots and equipment.

In this on-demand webinar, learn how Siemens software helps evaluate these elements all together to provide realistic validation of the manufacturing workcell and its behavior for the identification and resolution of issues related to safety well in advance of physical commissioning— Register to watch now!

Provide realistic validation of the robotics workcell

Our software solutions provide the tools necessary for designing and validating manufacturing processes in a dynamic and highly visual environment. Within this environment, manufacturing engineers can develop, re-use, validate and optimize automotive manufacturing process sequences with realistic behavior using fully kinematic 3D models.

Reduce on-site commissioning time via end-to-end validation

Automotive OEMs and suppliers can use our software solutions to simulate complete manufacturing cells and systems. Design and validate collision-free robotic paths and optimize their motion and cycle times, using both time-based and event-based simulation methods. Dedicated tools for various robotic applications and safety operations further enhance the ability to define the robot's correct motion and system automation.

Manage robot safety challenges with Siemens Digital Manufacturing software

Manufacturing engineers can work in data-managed and file-based environments to develop robotic and automated production systems to address multiple levels of robot simulation and workstation development. And with integrated collaborative tools enhancing communication and coordination among manufacturing disciplines, teams can make smarter decisions and bring automation systems online faster and with fewer errors.
