Steffan Wiersing

Senior Systems Engineer

Steffan is a Chartered Engineer with 16 years of experience specializing in a wide range of technical expertise and global project coordination. His journey began on offshore platforms in the UK sector of the North Sea, where he led a team of maintenance technicians. Transitioning to the Netherlands, Steffan provided technical expertise and troubleshooting operational issues for a fleet of onshore, gas-producing assets. He was then seconded to a Joint Venture company in Far East Russia to deliver design and procurement assurance activities for a new project. From these experiences, Steffan developed diverse technical and systems integration skills that he now uses as a Senior Systems Engineer and Global Polarion Product Owner. In this capacity, he manages the interface between the digital and engineering teams to deliver the functionalities needed for competitive and successful projects.

John Lusty

Portfolio Development Manager

John Lusty has over 25 years in the energy industry, with the last 12 being at Siemens Digital Industries Software. After graduating from the University of Guelph with a B.Sc. in Earth Science, John spent the first third of his career working mainly in process plants, focusing on the aqueous chemistry of steam and cooling water systems. He transitioned into technology with management roles at Allegro Development in energy trading and risk management tools and then to Bentley Systems, working with their plant design and data warehousing software. At Siemens, John has held positions in Sales and Sales Management, Industry Solutions, and Global Industry Marketing, all focused on the Canadian or Global energy and process industries. John is now a Portfolio Development Manager for Siemens in Calgary, where he connects those working on digital transformation initiatives with subject matter experts at Siemens Digital Industries to help achieve success on their projects.
