Network design criticality in heavy equipment

The rapid evolution in the heavy equipment industry to embrace complex electrical systems has resulted in a data explosion that is driving a digital transformation and the need for new technologies. Network design is becoming a critical aspect of all modern heavy equipment as it is interwoven with the design of embedded software and the electrical distribution system. This aspect needs to be robust to manage new efficient communication methods, shorter design cycles and early verification in the digital thread.

In this webinar we discuss and demonstrate:

  • How to mix traditional J1939 and modern Ethernet protocols and how to reduce the gateway load using IEEE1722
  • How digital continuity in-between the design domains is key to reducing design cycles and improving quality
  • Why early verification of more advanced protocols and stricter end-to-end deadlines reduces time-to-market
